	General Description Color - The heartwood is light yellow to yellowish brown while the sapwood is light tan to yellowish white. Grain - Closed with high figuring. (unfinished Yellow Pine pictured to the right)
	Available Grades Select & Better - Contains mostly sapwood with a minimum number of character marks and discoloration providing a uniform appearance. Average bundle length is 3-3/4'. 1 Common - Same as Select & Better but contains solid knots.

	Properties Hardness - Soft. 47% softer than Red Oak. See Relative Hardness Comparison Graph Durability - Fairly durable but not as resistant to scuffs and dents.
